Using Our Incense...
Powdered incense is designed to be burnt on Charcoal. This is the best way to get the purest burn with the least amount of additional ingedients. Stick incense has the addition of unscented saw dust or charcoal as a base material and our Cone incense may contain a gum binder such as Gum Arabic.
The easiest incense to use is the stick incense. Simply light the stick and the scent produced will draw the influence associated with each scent (see our Scent Associations chart). Stick incense is great for drawing influences such as Love, Wisdom, Fortune etc... and is also effective when burnt during meditation and concentration periods.
Our cone & powdered incense can be a little more difficult to use but they have the potential to draw and call much more powerful influences and spirits. In addition they contain ingredients required in many historical forms of spell casting and ritual magic.
Incense Spells...
Healing Spell - This is done on any day during the first hour after the sun has set. Place on charcoal - 1 tsp Hyssop and 1 tsp Mugwort. Hold a coin in the smoke while saying "draw the wound; take from thee; pain or cut or injury". Make sure the coin is cool and place it on the wounded area for a few minutes (this can be you or someone else's wound). Then remove it and place the coin itself on the burning charcoal and herbs. Let it set there until all the heat, smoke and fire are gone (until cool), then bury the coin in the earth. Within 1 day the wound should begin to heal.
Simple Love Spell - Burn our Love Binding Incense while saying "Come to me through wind and tree; that love may grow from you to me". Close your eyes and repeat this verse 3 times while concentrating...and increaseing, the feeling of love within you for the person. When the incense is out blow it's ashes into the air. The person should find themselves drawn to you the next time they see or think of you.
Not so simple Love Spell... Use our powdered Venus Incense on Friday morning, during the First Hour of Sunrise, during the New Moon... light the incense and face the direction where the person is at. Speak the persons name and say "I love you with all that is in my heart and reach to waken the same in you". Focus on the person and build the feeling of love inside you until you feel ready to explode. Picture the persons image in your thoughts the whole time.
Repeat the words 6 times and allow the incense to completey burn out. Take some of the ashes from the cool incense and place them where the person will touch or pass near them. Within 6 days of casting the spell the person should be anywhere from nicer... to madly in love with you. At the least they will in some way be connected to something that happens to you in the romantic department!
The ashes and spell will only work for whoever the entire spell is conducted for...giving the ashes to someone else to use will not work. To strengthen the spell burn our Venus Candle during the spell and add 6 drops of our Venus Spell Oil to the incense before burning.
We believe all incense should be burnt so that the smoke can reach the open Air and travel out into the world. If you are performing a spell associated with Earth, Water or Fire extinguish the incense with one of these elements when finished.
